Transfer Deadline Day (TDD) is always exciting. I remember the British record transfer of Robinho for £32.5m to Manchester City going through on such a day and Robbie Keane's many exploits on this day, to Liverpool, Spurs, Celtic and many more in the future! However, there were two big names (well big for Foxes fans anyway) that arrived this TDD.

In a deal which had been news for a while, Japanese international Yuki Abe received his work permit to seal the deal to move to Leicester City from Urawa Reds. A midfielder by trade, Abe is also a good set-piece taker and everyone is looking forward to him putting in a decent corner for once (Leicester have had the most corners in the league so far, scoring none of them).
In a deal which had been the dream of most Foxes fans since the play-off semi-final penalty-shoo tout defeat last season, Martyn Waghorn has signed a permanent deal from Sunderland. Scoring 12 goals for us last season, he was a fans' favourite and voted Young Player of the Year and unfortunately went back to his home town team as his loan ended. Steve Bruce, the Sunderland manager said on record that Waghorn was in his plans but with the TDD arrival of World Cup star, Asamoah Gyan, Waggy went down the pecking order and, to free up funds for the Gyan transfer, he arrived at the Walkers Stadium for good.
What a difference a day makes.
