6 days to go...

Six days to go then!

Just making some letters to send out to people about the trip, the itinerary and things, so thought I'd put in a blog so it doesn't look so empty! Also to see how it works!

So this is a map I made of Malawi, it shows Lilongwe, where the airport is, Blantyre, where I will be based for a while and also a dot where Konzere is, the main place I'll be stopping at and also the place of the Resource Centre I'm working at. Will be doing quite a bit of travelling up and down to Lilongwe so, I don't know how optimistic this is, but lets hope I see some wildlife!

Anyways, thanks for being interested in what I'm doing anyway, and for all the support, donations and prayers you've sent! Here's a short version of my itinerary and plans:

I'm going to Malawi with Janet Stafford, a lady from my church who works for Torch Trust for the Blind (www.torchtrust.org) on Sunday the 20th July. On the 1st August Sam and Andy from Market Harborough are meeting us to help also. The main thing we will be doing is renovating a resource centre for blind children, but also visiting the blind people and orphans in the area. Also, living the Malawian way of life and sharing the message of the Bible with others.

This is the gist of what we're going to be doing:

July - Sunday 20th - Overnight flight from Heathrow to Lilongwe with Janet.
Mon 21st - Weds 23rd - Staying in Blantyre
Thurs 24th - Fri 1st August - In Konzere helping at clinics and visiting villages and Christian groups
August - Sat 2nd - Meeting Sam and Andy in Lilongwe
Sun 3rd - Sat 9th - Working at the Makande Resource Centre
Sun 10th - Thurs 14th - Helping at clinics and visiting villages and Christian groups in Kalu and Konzere
Fri 15th - Farewells and travel to Lilongwe
Sat 16th - Travel home with Sam and Andy to arrive first thing on Sunday

Janet is staying on for a few more weeks, the container with all the donated furniture will arrive and be distributed around the 27th.

Thanks again everyone!
