Leicester City and the play-off push

After watching Leicester City beat Watford 4-1 last weekend, I'm almost ready to prepare for Wembley next month.

It's been a strange old season but I'm so impressed with how Leicester have gone from lowly relegation, through League One to be champions and chasing promotion to the Premier League!  Nigel Pearson has done an amazing job to steady the Leicester ship and has made some excellent loan and permanent signings: Jack Hobbs from Liverpool, Bruno Berner from Blackburn, Lloyd Dyer from MK Dons to name a few from last season.  These are those who remain but, add on the other loans from last season (Tom Cleverley from Manchester United, Mark Davies from Wolves etc.) and you have a convincing League One champion side.

This year, Paul Gallagher from Blackburn, Martyn Waghorn on loan from Sunderland and Chris Weale from Bristol City have made Leicester City an almost Premier League standard side.  I don't think we're quite there yet but, get rid of a few dead-wood players and bring in a few explosive players (like Waghorn, please!) and we'd do well.  I didn't think I would say that this time two years ago.

Three points from two games and we're in the play-offs (might not even need that depending on other results) and I get very scared but extremely excited!
