My Four Point Plan to Get Leicester City Into the Play-Offs

From a position joint top of the Championship and at short odds to be promoted automatically to the Premier League, Leicester City have won one game in 14 (all competitions) and now lie in 8th position, two points outside of the play-offs.

Although automatic promotion is now impossible, the lottery of the play-offs is still to play for and I have the perfect plan for Leicester City to get there...

  1. Beat Bolton Wanderers at home tomorrow
  2. Beat Crystal Palace in London on Saturday
  3. Beat Watford at home the following Friday
  4. Beat Nottingham Forest on the final day of the season on their patch.
Seems simple enough?  Leicester's final four fixtures being against four teams immediately above them plays nicely into their hands: winning any of these matches means three points for the Foxes and none for their rivals, effectively taking points off of them.  If Leicester don't win these, they won't be promoted; it is in their hands.

In the past, teams on a terrible run have easily dispatched Leicester City whilst on a winning streak (indeed it was bottom-of-the-table Peterborough who put a stop to Leicester's five match streak and started their current horrific run) so it wouldn't be a surprise if they actually pulled it off...
