Film review: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time

Jerry Bruckheimer and Walt Disney continue with their series of live-action epics with Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (2010).

Naturally for a Disney feature film, a star studded cast and crew is included featuring producer Bruckheimer, director Mike Newell and actors Jake Gyllenhaal and the up and coming actress Gemma Arterton.  As with most video-game adaptations, it is only loosely based on the 2003 original but keeps to the style and concept well.  Could this be a turn for the better for video-game films, after the disappointing Tomb Raider (2001), Doom (2005) and Max Payne (2008)?
