My Leicester City Team of the Season

It's taken a while but I've finally put together a quick animation on my Leicester City team of the season.  I'll hopefully be doing a couple more review blogs for each department of the squad but for now, have a look and I hope you like it!  It was created using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.

If you didn't see, that team was:

Chris Weale

Ben Mee     Sol Bamba     Miguel Vitor     Kyle Naughton

Richie Wellens     Andy King     Yuki Abe

Paul Galllagher     Darius Vassell

Yakubu

The more of this team we keep for next year, the better in my opinion.

Awesome Astronomy

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands!" (Psalm 19:1).  This is another example of that glory, how amazing creation actually is, and it isn't even the beginning!

1812: Napoleon's Final Invasion

For my third year of university, I've created a documentary animation about Napoleon's fatal attempt at invading Russia in 1812.  It's based on Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, which I played recently on tour with Soar Valley Music Centre and fell in love with.  I've used sketches from Naomi Allen (using original paintings and engravings of the event), had help with translations from Victor D'Allance and designed and animated it myself using Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and FInal Cut Pro.

  Enjoy!

The Beauty of Pixar

Pixar are the pioneers of animated cinema.  Starting with the famous Toy Story (1995), they are the bench-mark for other animation companies in their endeavours and, as this video claims and, I think, shows, it is with good reason as they create some amazing images.

Created by Leandro Copperfield and made apparent to me by a friend, James Doc, enjoy:

Media Project Coming Along Nicely

For my media project this year I have to make two animation.  The first is based on my favourite piece of music, Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture and the story it tells: Napoleon's failed attempt to invade Russia.  As you might see in the left column of this blog, there is a link to see my Digital Media Blog where I keep a reflective log of all I'm doing in my work.

Yesterday I finished the opening scene and wanted to stick that on here for anyone interested who hasn't seen the Digital Media Blog so please let me know what you think and have a look at the blog for how I'm doing my work and my thoughts about it.  It was created using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
